Project PINK BLUE is a cancer fighting organization engaged in cancer awareness, patient navigation, fundraising for indigent cancer patients, cancer research and access to palliative; we utilize technology to connect cancer patients to cancer information, survivors, diagnosis, treatment and care providers

  1. FINANCE & ADMIN OFFICER (PREFERABLY A FEMALE):

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing regular financial reports (expenses, budgets, etc)
  • Managing office supplies, stocks, placing order/making purchases, etc
  • Management of cancer patients’ financial supports and donations.
  • Maintain and update office database
  • Responses to emails, letters, and manage flow of information within and outside the office.
  • Oversees and administers the day-to-day activities of the office; develops policies, procedures, and systems which ensure productive and efficient office operation
  • Provides assistance and support in problem solving, project planning and management, and development and execution of stated goals and objectives.
  • Serves as the primary point of administrative contact and liaison with other offices, individuals, and institutions on operational and programmatic matters concerning the Office.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Maintains organization’s calendar and appointment
  • Book meetings as required and remind the Executive Director of his appointments.
  • Organize a filing system for important and confidential organization’s documents.
  • Oversees the operation of office accounts, and plans and monitors expenditures; as appropriate, develops and/or coordinates budgets for the office and associated accounts.
  • Facilitate crowd-funding/fund-raising activities and strategizes how to raise funds to run the office and pay staff.

 

Qualifications:

  • Passion for positive change in cancer control and healthcare sector in Nigeria (REQUIRED)
  • Sc. /HND in Accountancy or any other Financial Management Degree (REQUIRED)
  • Skilled in the use of financial applications for accounting and finance management
  • Skilled in budgeting and grant management
  • Knowledge of office management principles and procedures.
  • Skills in the use of database management, word processing, spreadsheet, and/or presentation software.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues, etc.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills

 

 

2    RESEARCH, POLICY & ADVOCACY OFFICER

Responsibilities:

  • Works with the organization’s scientific committee to write, design, develop and create contents and articles on cancer care and healthcare
  • Conduct studies for development and advocacy.
  • Create a clear vision and strategic advocacy plan to guide the objectives and KPIs of the organization.
  • Represent the organization on government & policy affairs for cancer control.
  • Evaluate cancer patient’s application for financial support and develops funding strategies.
  • Plans activities to achieve the programme objectives (often as contained in the logframe), executes activities, supervises programme staff, monitors and reports progress of the programme.  He or she takes the necessary actions to keep the project on target on a day-to-day basis.
  • Assesses project performance to identify success factors and incorporates best practices into project work
  • Develops annual campaigns and information materials.
  • Facilitate in securing grants (searching for grant opportunities, helping to draft grants applications, etc)
  • Seek endorsements and communicate with advisors on grant proposals
  • Create and manages programmes in the organization
  • Securing project funding from funders/sponsors.
  • Works closely with Admin officer and other team to raise fund.
  • Identify and track emerging opportunities through the institutional funding strategy and action plan.
  • Contribute to design and development of project proposals
  • Draft technical and financial proposals to secure funding
  • Develop ideas and projects for the organization.
  • Responsible for engagement through regular drafting of press releases, and writing article and other media contents.
  • Organizing regular media campaign to promote the organization
  • Engaging or partnering other media personnels or firm to promote organization’s work.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for positive change in cancer control and healthcare sector in Nigeria (REQUIRED)
  • Sc. /HND in any health related or social sciences degree (REQUIRED)
  • Experienced in research and publications (REQUIRED)
  • Skilled in writing articles, development of contents and press/advocacy materials (REQUIRED)
  • Experience working in public health, NGO, civil society or public-private organization is an added advantage
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex problems and developing solutions within a fast-paced environment, and with multiple, competing demands
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills in working with diverse stakeholders and high-level individuals
  • Capacity to work independently as well as openness to collaboration
  • Skilled in social media, digital media and communications strategies
