World Immunization Week

World Immunization Week

Project PINK BLUE is changing the way Africans think about cancer.

Do you know that liver cancer is the second leading cancer death in Nigeria? Do you also know liver cancer is associated with viral load of hepatitis? Do you that you protect yourself against cervical cancer with a vaccine?

Our World Immunization Week (WIW) is a platform that provides all the answers!

Project PINK BLUE’s World Immunization Week (WIW) features with two major activities focused primarily on “Cancer Prevention by Vaccination” targeting on stakeholders and the general public. WIW project creates measurable platform for presentations, keynote speeches, discussions, and public enlightenment on the significance of vaccination in cancer prevention especially liver and cervical cancer. Public health workers such as doctors, nurses, community health workers and other stakeholders engaged in a non-residential symposium to evaluate our knowledge of the following: cancer prevention vaccines, availability of the vaccines, accessibility of the vaccines, affordability, research and clinical trials by Nigerians on the cancer prevention vaccines, and other relevant issues. The media and the general public are engaged immensely to educate Nigerians on the need for vaccination against cancer.
