Global Day of Citizen Action
Project PINK BLUE is changing the way Africans think about cancer.
The Global Day of Citizen Action (GDCA) is a global event where ordinary citizens share their views on citizen action and civic space. People all over the world tell us whether they feel free to speak out, organize and take action; because, civic space exists when individuals and organizations have the freedom to speak out, organize and take action. Project PINK BLUE as a Voting Member of CIVICUS World Alliance for Citizen Participation and winner of prestigious and noble Nelson Mandela-Graca Machel Innovation Award organizes the Global Day of Citizen Action (GDCA) in Abuja, Nigeria with two different events, as follows: (Global Day of Citizen Action (GDCA) is organized with funding support from CIVICUS World Alliance for Citizen Participation.)
GDCA STREET BOARD: CIVICUS developed a survey board with the aim to know if citizens of different countries are free to speak out, organize and take action. The Board Questions are in three distinctions:
(A). Am I Free To: Speak out, Organize and Take Action? YES (The Board for YES is in Green Colour).
(B). Am I Free To: Speak out, Organize and Take Action? NO (The Board for NO is in Red Colour).
(C). Am I Free To: Speak out, Organize and Take Action? I DON’T KNOW (The Board for I DON’T KNOW is in Orange Colour).
Citizens respond the board questions and also take pictures with the board voluntary.
GDCA PANEL OF DISCUSSION: Citizen Right! Is HEALTHCARE A Human Right?
