Treatment

You may have heard from several people that they are no treatment for cancer or that cancer is not treatable, hence that once you are diagnosed with cancer; you should not worry about treating the disease. Instead, you should visit supernatural homes or healing homes for absolute cure.

This is not true. At Project PINK BLUE, we have a cancer support group, known as Abuja Breast Cancer Support Group (ABC-SG); it is made up of cancer survivors who were treated by Nigerian doctors in Nigerian hospitals.

There are many types of cancer treatment. The types of treatment that you have will depend on the type of cancer you have and how advanced it is. Some people with cancer will have only one treatment. But most people have a combination of treatments, such as surgery with chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy. You may also have immunotherapy, targeted therapy, or hormone therapy. Clinical trials might also be an option for you. However, clinical trials in cancer research are rare in Nigeria.

Cancer patients are always advised to be meticulous with their treatment and keep to appointment to avoid the advancement of the cancer.
